BOOKING FORM
The Hereford Catholic Conference is open to all and families are especially welcome. In the past, we have not asked those attending to book in advance or to pay a set amount to participate.
However, the Conference organisers are particularly keen to ensure we have the correct ratio of CRB checked adults to work in the various children’s streams. So it is really important to ensure we have an idea of the number of children in each age group.
For this reason, we have introduced a booking form with an opportunity to send an offering to help cover the costs of the conference.
A meal is also provided on Saturday evening, so when completing the form, please help us to provide adequate catering by indicating how many meals are required.
Download the booking form here.
FUNDING
The Conference receives no external funding and relies solely on the generosity of
those who attend. We suggest an offering of £30 for the weekend for adults in full-
As with any such event, we do incur expenses and we work hard to keep these to a minimum. In 2010, expenditure was around £6,000.
A copy of the balance sheet is available here.
Whilst much of the work for the Conference is carried out by unpaid volunteers, we pay an honorarium and travelling expenses to our main speakers, musicians, and the leaders of the children’s groups. We are indebted to the Head Teacher and Governors of St Mary’s RC High School who allow us use of their facilities free of charge, but we feel it appropriate to make a donation as a ‘Thank you’ at the end of the weekend.
There is also an offering taken up during the weekend and participants are encouraged to give what they feel they can afford and we take advantage of the Gift Aid scheme to maximise the fundraising.

PROGRAMME
The Conference Team produce a programme of events for the weekend, which provides details of the speakers, times of Mass and the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
It includes breaks for tea and coffee which are provided, together with an evening meal on Saturday. These are wonderful opportunities to share your faith with others.
Participants should bring a packed lunch for Saturday and Sunday.
A Programme will be published in due course and available to download from this page.
POSTERS
Are available to download and we ask that these are posted on Church notice boards and other public places.
