Funding the Conference
Hereford Catholic Conference relies on the generous donations of those who attend the event, together with support from some local parishes and the generosity of the head teacher and governors of St Mary’s School for the use of the premises. In addition, for the first three years it received a contribution from NET to help establish the conference.
To fund such an event currently costs around £3,500 which helps to cover the expenses of those who give their time to speak, minister and contribute their professional expertise to the conference. In addition, the cost of such items as publicity, posters, flyers and refreshments have to be considered.
The conference organisers believe that it is important to encourage everyone to attend the conference and not exclude anyone who may be discouraged through the cost of attending.
